Okay. So there's nothing particulary profound to say about Groundhog Day. I'm mostly just amused by the look on this poor animal's face. Does your family "celebrate" Groundhog Day? Hmmm....no? Well, what other crazy traditions are there out there? Why do you think we still celebrate them?

Poor groundhog. He has a job of making a shadow every year. Not much of a living. Anyway, I dont celebrate groundhogs day, but Id be more than happy to vote it for a no-school day. I guess some people dont really belive that the shadow means spring is coming early or something like that, but some people do like little kids. I guess its a fun thing for them.

I'm with Leyla on the no-school day =). I don't really celebrate Groundhog Day or anything, but it's interesting to see what they predict and then to see if they were right. It's also a good oppurtunity for kids to learn about winter animals, groudhogs and such, so why not? (I still feel for the animal, though)

I don't celebrate groundhog day, but agree with Leyla that they should make it a no school day for the children that do celebrate it (and to make it more fun for others)! This is very fun for little kids to believe that Spring will come sooner if the groundhog doesn't see his shadow...
let's hope that he doesn't see it this year; I'm getting tired of the snow!
He is soooo cute and that is a fact not an opinion! Anyways I'm with Leyla and Rashmi no school on Groundhog day would be the best. I don't celebrate Groundhog day either. But the groundhogs get fame and who doesn't want some fame?
The groundhogs expression reminds me of my guinea pigs when i dont leave them alone. This only reminds me of one of them though, because only one is fat like the groundhog is (no offense, both of you guys :D) and rashmi, i dont think a groundhog is a winter animal if its checking for summer, right?

I think that in that picture that the groundhog wanted to be put down. This nation is pretty weird, they thing a groundhog can predict stuff. it is pretty cool though. I heard that in Raleigh the grodhog saw his shadow, in grennsboro the groundhog didn't see his shadow, and in Pennselvania he didn't see his shadow. so which one do we follow!!!!

Rock on no school!!!!!!!! i was kind of let down when groundhog day passed and i didnt even know! but also because i love celebrating it and making sure that it didnt see its shadow! I like to know when i can wear flipflopss!
